Congratulations, and don't worry - just be yourself and answer their questions. Just be prepared for the usual questions about what you've done in your life, why you want to go to uni, etc. Bear in mind that a lot of very successful people didn't go to university, so even if you don't get in it's not the end of the world. And if you tell them you are nervous they will likely put you at ease. -posted by admin at 6 Feb 2011 22:03 |
Congrats. Hope you get in. Just be yourself. I'm sure your portfolio versatile enough for their requisites. -posted by PiMP at 8 Feb 2011 11:25 |
It would be a huge bonus if you had some life drawings from live models with conte on newsprint paper. also some still life drawings or paintings, try to pick an interesting composition. IF you have time before the interview still that is. Also something like a drawing of the interior of a room with solid perspective would be really good to have. and to make that even better, draw the same room from opposite corners of the room so that you can show you can control the scale and use perspective well. If you can do that and make it look like the same room that would be huge. If there isn't a ton of time to prepare, do some studies of your hand in various positions, again keep composition of the whole page in mind here, always, and draw from life here obviously. Use long lines, not short sketchy lines for the finished line, and vary the line thickness to express things that are closer and further away X) Hope that helps you. Good luck! -posted by Roland at 9 Feb 2011 03:50 |
