HTML5 client for Groupworld - plugin-free web conferencing!
We have just released a browser-based HTML5 client for Groupworld, meaning that you can now have access to full-featured web conferencing without requiring any plugins, java or flash! All Groupworld features are supported in the HTML5 client, including audio/video conferencing, desktop sharing (send and receive), drag+drop image/document upload and session recording/playback.

HTML5/ajax version of Groupboard now default
Given the ongoing security issues with java, and the new popup warnings that appear every time you load a java applet, we have now made it so that the HTML5/ajax version of Groupboard is now used by default, instead of the java version. If you want to use the old java version, just add "&ajax=false" to the url.
Just note that when using the scrollbars (in Groupboard Designer), it will stop scrolling as soon as you move the mouse outside the scrollbar.
API for HTML5/ajax Groupboard, with ability to edit HTML code
We have recently added the ability to copy the HTML code into your own web page and edit it, for the HTML5/ajax version of Groupboard. This feature has always been available in the java version, and we have now added it to the HTML5/ajax version as well. This means that you can completely customize the HTML code to create your own user interface, or integrate it more completely with your website than is possible using the iframe. Note that this functionality is only available with full paid-for Groupboards.

IE10 has increased security which can result in random errors in Groupworld such as an inability to use the 'allow control' function in desktop sharing, inability to download files, as well as random errors such as 'gzopen error on new_whiteboard.gz'.
For information on how to resolve these issues (apart from using a different browser), see:
Groupworld FAQThis is not an issue with the HTML5 version of Groupworld.
