1. Multi-party WebRTC high quality video conferencing

We have recently integrated the open-source Janus Gateway into Groupworld, to deliver high quality WebRTC audio and video with more than 2 users. To enable this feature with the hosted Groupworld product, simply add &janus=true to the room URL.

When Janus Gateway is enabled for a room, it uses a slightly different user interface for the audio/video strip, with a more compact design.

3. Ability to display chat history added to Groupworld

A new feature in Groupworld allows you to display the chat history, so that users see the entire chat history when they log in. To enable the display of chat history in Groupworld, simply tick "Display chat history" in the hosted Groupworld control panel, or use the store_chat API option. The chat window will then store the chat history, and display it when the chat window is opened.

4. More user interface options added to Groupworld

We have added some more user interface layout options to Groupworld, allowing picture-in-picture video, text chat under video windows, page numbers and zoom slider below the whiteboard, video windows on the right-hand side, etc.

5. Ability to rotate protractor and ruler added to math tools

It is now possible to rotate the protractor and ruler tools in Groupworld. To do this, simply hold down the shift key while moving the mouse (after selecting the ruler or protractor from the math tools).
